We stayed at this hotel near Yosemite National Park for a few days and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and helped us upgrade to a bigger room at no extra cost. The room was newly remodeled, extremely clean, and had blackout curtains that worked well. The hotel is conveniently located close to the west gate of the park, which was perfect for avoiding the chaos inside. The on-site Lucky Buck Cafe was a great bonus after a long day of exploring.

    Totally recommend this hotel.

Great off-season rate and pleasantly surprised with the room. Nicer than expected. Closer to Yosemite than other options, which saved us over $100.

Expensive for an older facility. Air conditioning was annoying with the motion sensor constantly turning it on and off.

Convenient location close to the entrance of Yosemite National Park and a bakery/restaurant called Tangled Heart. Drive-up to your front door rooms, which can be convenient for easy access to your car. The restaurant served good food for both breakfast and dinner.

Some noise issues with noisy neighbors and cars running, which made it necessary to keep the windows closed. The air conditioner in the room did not work and no action was taken when reported.

pros We had a fantastic stay at a lodge just outside Yosemite. the location was perfect, being close to the park entrance and having a delicious breakfast place right next door. the staff were incredibly accommodating, especially during a recent forest fire that caused some issues. Despite the challenges, they quickly relocated us and provided helpful advice on where to buy supplies. the motel had a wonderful outdoorsy atmosphere, surrounded by clean air and beautiful trees. the pool area was modern and well-equipped, and the people in the nearby town of Groveland were friendly and welcoming. It was the ideal base for exploring Yosemite.

The location of the lodge is ideal, being close to the entrance of Yosemite National Park. It offers easy access to the park and allows for convenient exploration of the surrounding wilderness. the lodge provides a good breakfast at a neighboring restaurant, ensuring a satisfying start to the day.

Some guests had a negative experience with the cleanliness of their room and bathroom. There were issues with dirtiness, such as dust, grime, and items left behind by previous guests.

We got incredible value for our money at Buck Meadows Lodge. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, surrounded by nature and just a short drive from Yosemite National Park. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, especially during a difficult situation caused by a nearby forest fire. They provided helpful advice and even offered to drive us when our car broke down. The pool area was modern and well-equipped, and we enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the town.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast selection better was more variety in the options offered.

I recently stayed at Buck Meadows for a few nights on my way to Yosemite Park. The location was amazing, just a short drive to the Yosemite Park Gate. The hotel itself was clean and cozy, and the restaurant served delicious meals for breakfast and dinner. The highlight for me was the access to the outdoor spa and pool. It was incredibly romantic to relax under the Autumn stars.
